Get back into my bag of holding!
This is a little drawing I thought up and had my art dept(better know as wife Teresa) draw, she way better at drawing than I am.Check out her blog to see more of her fantasy art.
A little side note a long while ago a few friends and I came up with this idea of a bag of holding where the space inside the bag was infinite and that what everything you put into said bag would replicate forever. Which of course is way to powerful an item to ever actually allow in play, or could you?

Robot Chicken plays D&D
I found this awesome series of videos where some of the writers from Robot Chicken are playing D&D. Chris Perkins the D&D creative manager is DM. It is pretty fun to watch.
There are around 25 parts to this. If you enjoy this you can find the remaining parts on youtube.
There is also a commentary for all these videos too. here is the 1st part of the commentary.

5 Sci-Fi Fantasy movies you must see
I have been having a hard time coming up with ideas for this blog. To gain more ideas I have decided that I need to dive further into the world of sci-fi and fantasy and gaming. In doing so, I thought of my favorite sci-fi and fantasy movies. This is just a small list of five titles there could be a lot more; however I wanted to really see what I thought was the cream of the crop with out listing the two great trilogies (because the are just in a league of the own) Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.
This list is in order of thought
Explorers
Gamers: the dorkness raising
Goonies
Lord of the Rings (1978) cartoon
Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon

When wolves attack! get to the tower.
In this post I will be sharing a short story of a party of adventurers; which is really just a recap of a D&D session i just DM. Hope you enjoy
Once upon a time, in a not so distant past, there was a nameless group of adventurers who have not yet decided on a name for their party so nameless they shall remain, until which time they have named their group. And at which time they will no longer be nameless. Anyway, on with the show, enough of this rabble, getting back to the party of adventurers who of the time of their namelessness where on the way to a great adventure. Because that's what adventurers do after all; they adventure. And this particular band of nameless adventures whilst on their way to the greatest of all adventures found themselves traveling eastward in a dark forest, wind and sleet tears at their cloaks, the sound of wolves baying in the night can be heard in the distance. The party can make out a lantern hanging in the window of a tower. The warmth of the burning light seems quite inviting to the cold and wet adventurers. As the party pushes on toward the tower they are surrounded by a pack of grey wolves. As they begin to fend off the wolves, a woman's voice can be heard coming from the tower beckoning them, "Come inside and you will be safe!"
The party continues to fight off the wolves while moving toward the bridge they must cross to get to the tower. While slaying one of the wolves near an old building foundation the fighter awoken a giant spider that jumped onto the fighter causing the fighter to lose his balance and be poisoned. He was finally able to push the spider off onto one of the wolves. Luckily for the fighter the spider and wolf engaged in fighting, allowing the fighter to make it to the bridge and cross. Once the party safely crossed the bridge, the last two wolves were scared off by the woman from the tower throwing flash bombs their way. The very weary, but grateful party made it to the tower with only minor damages, leaving behind several slain and maimed wolves.
Please, join us next time when we find out what is in store for the party of nameless adventurers once inside the tower.

Don't forget about the bards
Be it coming from a penny whistle and a lute of the bard or bag pipes droning from a far off misty mountain; your vinyl, CD, or MP3. Music plays a important although perhaps unrealized part in the games you play. Whether it is serving as back round for your daring bar brawl or being listened to by your DM while writing the adventure you are currently playing.
For as long as I have loved RPG's I have loved music. In the past 15 years or so I have put together quite the list of music that can accompany your next gaming session and help stir thoughts of deep dungeons, great epic wars and far off forgotten lands. There are a few bands that set out to make this kind of music, such as Nox Arcana and Midnight Syndicate. There are also bands that incorporate fantasy theme into the rock, metal or folk such as Finntroll and
Rasputina. Movie soundtracks as well can be a great place to find music to inspire your gaming; check out the sound
tracks to Lord of the Rings, the Peter Jackson movies as well as the Ralph Bakshi 1978 animated film.
Other artists that inspire are Reverend Glasseye, Abney Park, Munly and the Lupercalians, Norman Blake, Jim White, Basia Bulat to name a few. Many classical pieces can work great too. This list could and probably should go on forever.
Below are links to these artist mentioned, please check them out and give them some support if you like their stuff buy a record. If you have any suggestions for great music to listen to while gaming or writing a new adventure or just dreaming of gaming than let me know in the comments. I am looking forward to hearing all about great music. http://www.noxarcana.com/
